New pattern on process: Photo objective cover

Difficult to tune in to those who pretended to be honest ambition. Sallust

Happy day 43!

This is the beginning of a new pattern. The idea came to me, as natural and inevitable, as I finished the pattern of the Birthday Cake. Seeing the inside of the lid, had the same shape as the lens of a camera! So I noted in my list of projects.

These are my first tests. The truth is that the first, on left, was too flat, without any grace. So I decided to do the steps that would have a real goal. And although it was pretty good, but this second test was something that ended not convince me..

A tough week

I'm not sure how to start this post ...

I've had a very hard week. I've been sick with the flu from Monday until Friday. On Saturday my grandfather died. And today we went to the funeral and my cousin gave us the news that this morning Noah was born, his first daughter. I have a strange feeling, between joy and sorrow, that has me worried. I guess these things happen, but the truth is that they have been too many emotions in a few days.

I could not post on the blog by circumstances, but I tried to start planning posts, I've been doing the photographs for the Photo-a-day challenge this month, and I've been slowly editing the pattern on the cake, and tutorials of crochet stitches that I invented to make the cake, and the tie last week.

So tomorrow I will try to put some order in the blog, and post everything I have pending. I apologize for not giving news before, but I'm the kind of person, I'd rather not share my feelings hot, because I need to digest things, and overcome them, and then come back and continue being myself, without the experience negative invade my words, let alone my posts.

So thank you for waiting. A million hugs and sweet kisses to all.

Tomorrow the sun will rise again.

Finger Cozy tutorial! 15 min. crochet project

The flight has not taken anyone anywhere. Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Happy day 42!

After these last 2 months crocheting all days, began to get out a wound (burn) in the finger with I took the tension of the yarn. It is painful to work well, since I can't loose the tension of the yarn, so my creations would be too soft. And so it occurred to me that I could make a cozy for my finger, to prevent chafing. Find the tutorial at the end of the post.

Happy day 41!

Finally, after much work, to do and undo the bracelet several times, I managed to create the bracelet I had in mind! In the end I filled them with plastic tube, to keep the donut-shaped so as not to deform when you wear them. This is the small production I've done so far.

Not in my nature to hide anything. I can not close my mouth when I opened my heart. Charles Dickens

Happy day 38!

After finishing my birthday cake yesterday, after adding the cherry topping, and make the tray, I realized that the cake flats were too high, they were offset by the width of the piece. So decided rework, and rewrite the pattern. It has taken hard work, but I think now has been much better. You can find the pattern at the end of this post.

My 33 birthday! ^__^

We are what we do every day. So excellence is not an act but an habit. Aristotle

Happy day 37! And happy 33 birthday to me!

This morning I got up late because I got no sleep well last night. I think I'm getting a cold. I've been all day with a terrible headache. :( So I've decided not to go to French class this afternoon, not to catch cold and get worse, but I still had the will and I've gotten into the kitchen for a while. In the end I made some mini pies savory. Truth is that they are all an experiment, and have not been too bad (I can vouch for this, as they have been my dinner today).

A productive weekend

The selfish are large campus of the great evil. Concepción Arenal

The miserable have no other medicine than hope. William Shakespeare

Happy days 35 and 36!

This weekend I took the opportunity to relax a bit, take the hook and make some more accessories of my collection for the store. It has been cold and I did not feel like going out for a walk in this weather. So I stayed home with the hook and TV. Quiet and entertaining. This has been my production this weekend. (I use paper bags from McDonalds to save wool. Recycle and leverage are one of my mottos)

I need to relax...

The wisdom of the wise and the experience of ages may be preserved in quotations. Benjamin Disraeli

Happy day 34!

Today was a very stressful Friday. I spent the morning preparing the pictures I took for Photoshoot class this afternoon, and updating the blog a bit. Every day I realize the thousands of mistakes I'm making, and I am obliged to correct them, to do and undo. Every success takes effort not?

Also, this week reviewing the stats I have also discovered that my patterns have been included in some blogs of free patterns. I don't care, in fact I'm excited they have chosen my work, and have generated more interest still in my first forays into the handcrafter world. It is a great way for people to know me no more effort than my work. And if anything encourages me to continue it is this enormous interest, which I confess that is overwhelming me a bit. In just one month old I have received over 3000 hits, and start to have followers on the blog. That makes me proud because I know that is the result of my work and my work interests people of this world in which I am still an outsider who walks half lost.
